Spicy Imli Kheema

Ingredients:

500 gms kheema
1 tbsp chili powder
2 tsp cumin
10 broken red chillies
2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
3 tbsp tamarind soaked in warm water
2 tbsp desiccated coconut
2 tsp sesame seeds
2 tsp coriander seeds
2 tsp poppy seeds, soak and grind
Few chopped coriander and mint leaves
Oil as required
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Grind 1 tsp cumin seeds, sesame seeds, coriander seeds, poppy seeds with dessicated coconut. Keep aside.
2. Wash and drain kheema well. Soak tamarind in 1/2 cup water.
3. Heat oil, add remaining cumin seeds and broken red chilies. Also add kheema with ginger-garlic paste. Cook till water dries, on slow flame.
4. Add salt, chili powder, ground masala , tamarind water, cover and cook till oil leaves sides. Check the seasoning. Add chopped coriander and mint leaves, and put 5 minutes on simmer.
5. Serve hot with kulchas, puris or naans. This dish has sour taste and spice. Chilies can be adjusted.
Serves: 4-6
